Membership

Membership:

  1. Alumni Membership: This will be open to all graduates of Govt. Medical College, Amritsar.
  2. PG Alumni Membership: This will be open to all persons obtaining their post graduate qualification from Govt. Medical College, Amritsar irrespective of from where they graduated.
  3. Teacher Membership: This will be open to all persons desirous of being members of this association who have served as teachers in Govt. Medical College, Amritsar for a period of not less than five years. For this purpose, a teacher means a Senior Lecturer or above.
  4. Retired Teacher Membership: This will be open to persons who have retired from service and have been associated with Govt. Medical College, Amritsar for a minimum period of five years as Senior Lecturer or above.

The Association remained dormant for quite some time and ultimately it was reactivated in the year 2004. Attempts were made to strengthen the network with the Amritsar Alumni associations in North America (AMDAANA), UK (ADA) and other places in India namely Delhi and Chandigarh. The role of Amdaanians in stimulating and creating an environment for reactivation of the Amritsar Medical College Alumni Association at this junction has played a very crucial role .
